I read the reviews about it not working well on carpet, but I couldn't get it to work on anything. Even on a flat solid surface it would stay on it's side and not return to the upright position. The feathers came out the first time she played with it and I am sure they could be harmful if swallowed. It would be more trouble than it's worth to return it but I would not recommend it. Very overpriced for a Poorly engineered toy made with cheap materials.

I think this toy is just too big to interest cats (I have six, and they are all young adults, 1-1/2 to 4 years old). It looks & sounds like it would be fun, but when I put it down and tried to get them interested, not one of them (even the youngest, who's VERY playful) gave it a second glance.I would have returned it but the return shipping would be half the cost of the toy itself, so I just kept it. May give to one of my friends with cats and see if theirs has any interest...
Would not recommend the product.

We had one of these for our cat, which our standard poodle puppy adopted as his own. He spent many an hour chewing on the toy until it finally broke apart.After some shopping in the local stores (no one carried it anymore), we found this online.
The good part is that he immediately recognized it and wanted to play right away. He lay down on his pillow and commenced gnawing away. Unfortunately, the puppy had grown into a dog there is a slight difference between a 10 pound puppy and a 50 pound adolescent dog. The dog blew this toy up in under five minutes.
So, jingle toy good. Chew toy bad.
