Our beagle really liked this toy. But within 20 minutes of her playing with it, we could see that it wouldn't last long. The rope is made of some kind of nylon or plastic that was too easy to chew through. After a few more play sessions, we had to throw the toy in the garbage because she was biting off pieces of nylon/plastic -and those can't be healthy. In the future, Kong should make the same toy, but with a more durable and/or natural rope material.

Just got this today. I gave it to my 6 month old pit bull mix and after less then an hour he's already has the rope chewed where I had to take it away so he didn't swallow pieces off the rope. So I wouldn't recommend this to large dogs or heavy chewers / teething dogs because they'll have it chewed and destroyed in NO time. If heaven forbid you do get this toy make sure your dog is not left alone with it it's for heavy supervision only!! Very disappointed!!

I have a boxer and he is very rough on toys. I have always had good luck with Kong toys. He had this toy ripped apart almost immediatly. We were both very disappointed.

My dog chewed through the rope and removed it from the ball in 30 seconds, literally. If your dog is a chewer at all, don't waste your money on this.

My little dog loves these! It's everything we've been looking for, a ball that squeaks with a rope to play tug a war when she brings it back. Toy nirvana! My only complaint is there is a small plastic plug in the ball that makes it squeak and she can get that out way too easy and then isn't as interested in it as the squeaking has stopped. Kong should build the air plug into the ball somehow. My other suggestion to them is to make the ball a brighter easier to find color. As after the ball is well loved and dirty it blends into the grass way to well. All in all though, it's fantastic.
