After reading so many bad reviews from people saying they gave the toy to their dog and the dog destroyed it within a day, I felt I had to give a review. This toy is NOT for dogs to play with on their own. They will shred it very quickly. It is a toy for you to interact with your puppy by playing tug. When you are done playing tug, you put it out of the dogs reach. My husband and I raise Lab puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, and this is the first toy we buy each time we get a new puppy to raise. New puppies love the soft fleece and they love to play tug. The toy lasts around a month, to two months, depending on how strong the puppy is. This is just long enough to get them through their small puppy stage. After they turn 16 weeks old, the fleece toys go bye bye and the nylabone toys are introduced. The Kong Wubba is a really nice interactive toy. For small dogs, it may last longer.

I will be purchasing another one ASAP my puppy thinks its his g/f he drags it all over the house. He plays with it and sleeps with it its the best toy I purchased.

This is my 18 pound mixed breed dog's favorite toy. It is soft yet difficult to get at the seams without some work due to their placement. The fabric is fairly thick. It is heavy enough to be easily thrown (more easily than the ropes and stuffed toys she likes to play fetch with) but bouncy and soft enough to do no damage to walls, etc. I thought this product was too expensive at first, but have since changed my mind. We've had it for months it showed no wear except some dirt. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Would be great without the stitching, or the fabric, for that matter.

My teething pit bull/terrier mix puppy went straight for the "Kong Wubba" stitching, and ripped it apart within 5 minutes of receiving the toy. The only saving grace for this toy, and the reason for 3 stars instead of 1, is that I cut the fabric off the plastic insert, and this is now my dog's favorite toy. Fabric/plush toys are her favorite, but I've removed all of them from the rotation because she eats them, so the plastic insert is the softest toy she has that she can't destroy. The plastic insert is extremely durable, and is one of the few things she hasn't torn apart. Even Nylabone's don't last long in her pit bull puppy jaws. I wish Kong made these inserts as stand-alone options since they're softer than standard Kong products. I may just buy another one of these, and cut the fabric off before giving her the inside...
