first thing my black lab went nuts over this toy. she is a very well trained hunting dog everything she puts in her mouth she is very careful with it. this toy only lasted for about an hour the stitching came apart and had ripped open. the plastic inside used for the squeaker is very thin and could become shredded and your dog could swallow it costing you $$$$$$ in vet bills or worse. the one I had for less then a an hour is now in the garbage. I think this would make a better cat toy. I would like to return it but do not want go though the BS doing so because of problems Iv'e had in the past on returns. I did cut the tail off and now our cat plays with it. if you love your dog as much as I love mine and I know you do stay away from this toy.

Our retired greyhound (almost 7) just loves this toy more than any other we have ever gotten her. Since her "playing" is more running/chasing/stalking than tugging/chewing/destroying, this toy has lasted a long time for us. Mostly she just loves when I throw it (i grab the tail and the weight of the squeakers makes it easier to fling a little farther), she grabs it in her mouth (added bonus is that this toy is actually skinny enough for her to grab in her narrow mouth, and not so long that she can trip on it when running or that it flaps back and hits her) and then runs around. I wouldn't recommend for rough playing or destroying dogs though..

My 65 lb. black lab mix loves this toy. Well constructed and durable. It took over a year of tugging and pulling before this item was laid to rest. Fun to play with and my dog also enjoys it.

I have many dog toys that have squeakers, so I assumed the squeakers were small and this item was free of stuffing. Well, no stuffing to be sure, however, the squeakers are so large they fully stuff this toy (except for the tail). My dog loves to shake her toys and when she shakes this one she practically beats herself to death with the oversized squeakers. If you dog is one that like to shake their toys I do not recommend this toy. I will do as one person who reviewed this item has done and cut off the tail and let my cats play with it.

I bought this toy for my two small dogs, and they LOVE it. The two squeakers in it make different squeaks, and they just go NUTS for it. My beagle mix played with it for hours! The fur is in tact, but we've only had it for two days, and both of the squeakers have stopped squeaking. I have to say, it's hard for a dog to look disappointed, but she definitely did when she couldn't get it to squeak. :( I was so happy with this toy at first, too!
