Trixie Hide-and-Seek Circle

Trixie Hide-and-Seek CircleThis thing is nicely made, very stabile and heavy so it stays put. But the food hiding is too easy. It doesnt slow down my cats gluttony..... The search for cat-foraging-devices continues :-)

This is a very solid, well built high-quality toy made of sturdy melamine-type material and heavily weighted to make sure it stays in place during play and doesn't scoot around the floor. Probably would wash up well in the dishwasher, too. Had high hopes this would provide my indoor cat with some play and mental stimulation but she didn't ever take to it. Just not her idea of fun. I'm sure some other cat would appreciate it so I donated it.

I got this as part of my effort to move away from bowl feeding. It doesn't hold much, being more gears toward treats, so I also use a couple different treat balls. Dmitri, my cat, tends to eat from this toy first.

The ball-in-track has a narrow opening and when I saw this I thought it would prove futile. Yet he plays with this more than his Crazy Circle which has much wider openings. I suspect this is because the texture/finish is more pleasant on the paws.

The reversibility helps keeps things fun and interesting. Though I'll agree that the games are a bit 'too easy' Dmitri figured them out on the first try.

Overall it feels solid, well constructed. It is very heavy for its size, staying put through lots of feline attention.
