Petstages ORKA Bone

This product needs to be recalled. My dog chewed off the rope and it became lodged in her small intestine. She had to have surgery and had 18 inches of her intestine removed! She is very lucky it was not worse. The company should have to pay my vet bill. I will never buy this type of product again.

Just purchased this product at a brick and mortar and, like many others point out, this product is not nearly as tough as advertised. We've been home about 30 minutes and our little pup has shredded off one portion of the bone and, had we not taken it away, would have probably destroyed and eaten the whole thing. This thing is junk and we'll be taking it back for a refund.

Purely a wast of money. My dog chew this up in 10 minutes. This product lacks durability and is extremely dangerous. It should not be advertised as durable because it absolutely is NOT.

I have bought other ORKA products and they where wonderful. I fact THE favorite toy is the ORKA ring. (5 mo. and counting, but showing ware) This one was hard not soft and giving. She had pieces out of it with in 15 min. No good. Not for aggressive chewers. Not this one.

Got this toy for our 9 month old pit bull, who then proceeded to shred this bone to small chunks in less than an hour. Pity since it seems like a sturdy toy, but then again, our pibble is a bit of a she-hulk when it comes to chew toys. In the long, we may just stick with Kong brand toys since those are the only ones that have seemed to withstand her chewing. While I think this toy may be okay for average chewers (not sure about adult dogs, to be honest, unless they're so-so chewers), I couldn't suggest this for larger breed pups or power chewers (I honestly think this wouldn't be good for a dog over 30lb). I do wish that, like Kong, Petstages would rate their toys in terms of durability or at the very list, some sort of clue in regards of what sized dogs should use this toy) because otherwise, we wouldn't have bothered with it.
