I got the wrong size for my dog, but I can tell you this is a really tough toy. I gave it to my daughter's husky and he loves it. I have a mini dacshund, so that's why it wasn't useful for him. Next time I'll watch the size of the toys I buy him. That was my fault.

This rope didn't even last 7 minutes with the dog. It literally took a 9 month old black lab puppy to tear this rope into 3 different pieces. The only thing that did last was the plastic centerpiece. When this does break, it leaves little white strings all over the place making a mess. This is not the first rope that the dog has torn, however it is the fastest one to break. My 8month old 30lb puppy destroyed this in 30 minutes! The toy is not safe, my dog severed the rope into two pieces and almost ate a small piece of rope. I am pleased with this toy. I bought a regular rope toy at the same time, and we had to throw the rope toy out in a week while this one was still going strong. The dogs like it, and it doesn't shred like the regular rope toys so I don't have to worry about them pooping out strings, or worse, if they really get into the toy, which they do.After a while the nylabone comes off, but the ropes are still usable for them. I suspect I will have to throw it out for getting dirty and nasty long before I'll have to toss it for falling apart, unlike the regular rope toys.
For reference, I have two Belgians with strong mouths, about 45 lbs and 70 lbs.
I will continue to purchase these for my dogs.
