My mother-in-law bought this for a new kitten we were about to bring home. I left it in my 2nd floor den since my adult cat doesn't go there often if I'm not there. The next morning, I found it in the basement with bite marks on the packaging. It makes my 15 lb, 5 yr old cat act like a kitten. My kitten, well... he's a kitten. Of course he plays with it. Both cats like to hug it and kick with their hind feet. They'll also leap after it.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that the handle is pretty cheap. The two pieces screw together and can crack if you tighten them too much. I'm not strong, but I cracked mine. If they aren't snug, vigorous waving of the wand causes the two pieces to unscrew.

My big cat, a Main Coon mix, loves this toy. He particularly likes it thrown down the stairs. It's a good size for him to gnaw on. The other, smaller, two cats enjoy it mostly when I hold a leg and wiggle it. I often find it in different places, so someone is busy carrying it around. It's very durable. I've even tossed it in the wash (cat puke, yuck). Once through the wash, I placed it in a ziplock with some catnip and it was good as new as far as the cats were concerned. If lost, I would definitely replace it.

I wasn't sure my 1-1/2 year old cat would go for this Wubba Teaser because it's so big and slow moving, but she really does like to kill it. I bring it out for play when she's in the mood to wrestle; the catnip gets her going and when it's finally "dead" I put it away for the next hunting session. I haven't had a problem with the rod, but I'm not real rough with it. The toy is so heavy that if you tried to fling it too hard and fast, not only could you break the stick but you could whack your cat in the head! If you use it right, it's a nice change of pace from the typical cat toy. I think it would make a nice gift for a kitten that needs something to attack instead of it's person's hand. Have fun!

My cats were immediately obsessed with it. The texture, the size, the sound, they just loved it. I have two cats who are brothers and one is a bit bigger than the other. The bigger one never seemed to really care for toys for some reason but with this toy he immediately loved it. Even jumped up in the air to go after it! I was so pleased to get the big one some exercise. Toy also seems very sturdy as they love to play tug-o-war with it already. Great buy!
