My female parakeet (budgie) really likes it and likes rotating the bars so the toy "rolls" and trying to get the bell inside. The female parakeet doesn't generally play with many toys so I was glad to see her enjoying this one so much. It took her a few days to warm up to it, but now it is her favorite toy and she plays with it every day. My male parrotlet also plays with it, but not as much as the budgie.

Bird doesn't go near it even after several attempts at introducing it over a few months. Spins a little bit stiffly.

Shipped quickly, on time delivery. This is my 11.5 year old budgies favorite toy. She wakes up each morning and flies from her sleep perch to this toy immediately, then spins it a couple turns and makes some fun chatter. She also returns to this toy every time she re-enters her cage from being out, to make sure that her friend is still there with her. :) I originally purchased this same toy for my budgie about 5 or 6 years ago, and I bought this as a spare as I was concerned that it might not be available at some point (if it needed replacement). That is how good this toy is.

I'm not sure why the other reviews weren't so great but hey, to each his own! I have a young Green Cheek conure (just shy of 3 months. He absolutely loves this toy!!! It spins, the bell inside jingles and is colorful as well. What I love about this toy is its versatility. You can mount it anywhere inside, outside & even on top of your cage or play center. It is really sturdy & I have to say that I like all the various ways you can place the toy so your bird can enjoy it in a variety of positions. My bird loves it when I mount it to the top of the cage (facing down), he loves the challenge of spinning the toy while hanging upside down. Another versatile feature is that it can be mounted perfectly in corners as well.

One of the reviewers mentioned that his bird hadn't really played with it. Maybe it is a bit too large for such a small bird or it might be mounted in such a way that it may not be attractive to his bird. My Green Cheek is almost 4 months old so he's not huge by any means so maybe size doesn't matter. One thing I like to do is move my bird"s toys around to make things interesting. He knows that when I clean his cage, I'll take the opportunity to rotate his toys & will swap out some toys with either new ones or some old favorites that he hadn't seen for awhile. I have definitely noticed that if there is a toy that he's not showing a lot of interest in, I'll move it around to see if where it is placed makes a difference in how much he plays with it. This toy is a perfect example!!! He loves finding it in different places! Again, you can't beat the price either!!!!!
