A quiet toy made of nontoxic material. One cat really likes the pom poms that are packed in the large containers of catnip leaves, but they are made of synthetic material and she rips them apart. My concern is that she or another cat could ingest the shredded pieces. These pom poms are light but very sturdy. They snag a little in the claw, which is attractive to the cat. They roll fast and far on tile or wood, which makes the toy very responsive. The play is a good solo workout for a cat.

The cats love these, but here's the real news. One of them a red one got caught up with the laundry and went through the washer and dryer. No running of red dye, and it came out looking like new. I was pretty darned impressed.
