I purchased a cansister of these toys to give as gifts to all our friends who are owned by cats. Plus of course for our own cat too. The first thing I noticed when I opened the canister is a very strong chemical odor. I left the canister set open in our storage room for about a week then checked back on them. The odor was still very strong so I took a few of the toys out of the canister and let them air on their own and still same results. I would not give these to my cat or anyone elses with a concern that they could become ill.
I have purchase many Zanies products and this is the first time I have been unhappy.
These are very cute fuzzy little creatures, and there are many of them! However, they do not seem to excite my cats as other catnip toys. I have young and old cats, none of whom show much interest other than when one is tossed across the room. Perhaps it is the difference in the type of catnip used. I will keep a few around the house and give the rest away to friends who have cats. Maybe one of them will hit the jackpot and get the whole canister. I'm sorry. I would like to give a better review, but I feel like I spent quite a bit of money on something that is just basically not popular in my home.
