Our office pit bull can destroy most chew toys in a matter of minutes, even the ones labeled "extreme chewer," "aggressive chewer," or "indestructible." Her large Bumi lasted her over a year of chewing, fetching, chewing, chewing, tug o'war, and chewing. You could hear her bearing down on it with her huge jaws, trying to kill it, but it would not die. The original Bumi finally died over a year later, and it wasn't from chewing. ;-) There was a slightly weak spot where she had concentrated her year's worth of chewing. A person was standing on one half of the Bumi while she yanked on the other and it finally split it half. RIP old Bumi! Hello, new Bumi!

Just a note she was able to destroy a Zisc by the same company. So your mileage may vary depending on your dog and how they like to chew/destroy things. ;-)

I do not understand how this thing could get a negative review! We bought this for out german shepherd, and he loves it! He chews on this thing night and day, and he has not made a dent in it. We play tug, fetch, and find it with this thing, and it has not shown any wear after two months of use. On top of that it has a warranty! Really? A warranty for a dog toy? Unheard of. Do yourself a favor and buy this for your dog. You will not regret it.

I've got two 8 month old Golden Retrievers who love to play tug of war with each other, and this thing will stretch until it's completely straight and then spring back into shape when my guys let go of it. They chew on it, stretch it out, and generally abuse the heck out of it and it is none the worse for wear. I've got several other West Paw toys and they all hold up great as well. Highly recommended, and a fabulous deal for the money.

I spent a lot of money for a toy that had pieces chewed off within a half hour. The dog breed this toy was given to was a beagle!! I was very disappointed as I made the purchase due to the description of the toy being "Guarenteed Tough." Don't waste your money.

I have other West Paw toys, and the Huck balls are my golden girl's favorite toy, paws down. But, I have TWO goldens and any toy that can be tugged can be destroyed. I've had the Bumi toy now for a couple of months and they play with it constantly and it still looks like brand new. My girl, Kate, chews on it, and together she and Cooper, my boy, tug and twist it, and it doesn't show a mark. I would DEFINITELY recommend this.
