Hi this is Joseph's daughter, they don't have kids reviews anymore; too bad. Anyway, today when I put this in my hamster's cage, he started to chew on it right away. It is important for small animals like hamsters, mice, etc. to exercise their mouths and this is a good way to have them do it! It is very cheap and I think your pet will enjoy it!

My hyper chewy hamster goes nuts over this. It doesn't solve the noise problem of chewing on the bars since she likes to really swing it around, creating a lot of noise. It doesn't bother me though, as I was more worried about her chewing on metal bars than the noise it made. She doesn't like chew toys that she has to hold in her hands. It seems she likes to tug and pull on things as she chews, so attaching this to cage and letting her go is perfect.

Very small seemingly insignificant item but it sure made my hammie's day!

This toy is great! My hamster was really adorable when she first discovered it and started playing with it. It is a fun game for her to try and catch and hold the chew in place as it dangles, so that she can really chew it.

The only problem is, the top connects via a small carabiner clip. On my cage, this would not clip onto the roof of the cage, as the holes are small and just a bit too spaced out to get the clip through 2 holes. I had to remove the clip and hang the toy using a large paper clip that I bent for the purpose. This was pretty easy to do but I probably wouldn't have thought of it if there hadn't been a paper clip sitting right there at the time.

I haven't tested it myself, but the hamster apparently likes the toy. Conveniently, the purple cube is labeled "hamster" in case he forgets who he is. So if you want a content and existential-crisis-free hamster, buy this toy.
