One bit of advice. You and direct the nozzle to 3 different positions; straight out, and 2 different positions down. I recommend that you just keep it straight out. If you point it down, the motion sensor can pick up the spray 'cloud' and think that there's motion and spray again and again until you turn it off. Other than that, a great product. After years of the cats going up on the counters, enough was enough when one of them started stealing our food!
We purchased one of these cans to keep them off, not expecting much since the reviews are so mixed. WELL, it was only a short matter of time before we heard the spray then a cat fleeing from the scene. It's been out for about a week or two now, and one of the cats (the food stealer) doesn't come in the kitchen anymore. The other cat, just won't go up on the counter. So, it's definitely working so far...which is amazing.
The only con is that unless you are able to sneak up behind it to turn it off, it will go off when we walk in the kitchen (which scared me a few times!) We are able to come up behind it to turn it off though so it isn't a big deal.
When you turn it on, it seems to have a delay time because it won't go off when you just turn it on.
I think it is definitely worth a try! Good luck!

The can of air lasted maybe 4 days. But it sure scared the crap out of the cat and the dog. Kept them away from the Xmas tree until they realized it wasn't blasting air anymoreThis is the best at keeping cats off counters. I wish they weren't quite so expensive, though. The saving grace is that if they see the can, they tend to stay away!My cat was peeing all along one wall of my 1 bedroom apartment. He'd go in the box too, but he had a UT once, went there only once, and forever this stretch of wall smelled like pee, so he assumed it was a second box. I cleaned up the mess with a product designed for it, didn't stop him. Bought a few pieces of furniture to just put over the spot. He still managed to wiggle his butt into the gaps between furniture. Bought the ssscat. Haven't had a problem since! Yeah, the motion sensor is a bit spotty, but let's say it goes off 3 out of 5 times he's over there. 3 times was enough to convince him to never go over there again. One thing, it uses shadows to sense motion. So you need a light on. I just left a living room lamp on and called it good. Nice product, and worth a try, even though it is stupidly over priced. Patent pending and all that you know...
