JW Pet Company Cataction Canvas Bee with Finger Ring, Cat Toy, Yellow

I adopted a 2-1/2 year old tuxedo colored cat from the local animal shelter. He had been cooped up in a crate for almost half his adult life, being so often overlooked at the shelter. I brought him home with tons of toys and he could have cared less about them. Not sure if it's because he just didn't know what they were, or had forgotten how to play in the first place.

I spent a ridiculous amount of money trying to find the right toy that would spike his interest. I ended up buying this one and lo and behold, he went NUTS. I waved it around like a bird that was flying and he ran all over the house trying to catch it. When he did "catch" it, he carried it off in his mouth, the proud "bird" (or bumble bee?) catcher.

I highly recommend this toy. If your cat loves it as much as my cat did (jumping, batting, carrying,) you're in for a real treat. It's a great way to get them to exercise and it's fun to watch for us humans. =)
