Wow, I am impressed! I poured over all the different soft dog crates available and finally settled on this 42" crate by Elitefield. I was worried about the quality because you never can be sure when ordering online but I worried for no reason because this is a well made and very sturdy collapsible soft crate. I am a very picky person so that's saying something! The canvas waterproofed fabric is strong as well as the mesh door/window material. My male has pawed at it a number of times and hasn't done a lick of damage! (Of course if he really wanted out that would be another story). It has very sturdy zippers on the three large openings too (one side, one front, one top). The mesh doors/windows roll up and are kept open by strong velcro. The large windows on all four sides and top provide excellent ventilation for hot days. I would have liked it to have a lightweight shade that could be dropped over the side windows like some other crates have (in order to protect from full sun) but I can make my own since the velcro is already there. The size is perfect for my two border collies to share the ample space when we go to training/trials. We have aclimated both dogs to the crate easily since they are well trained and they love it! Our male is a tall dog and he stands with his head up with room to spare. The soft yet sturdy mat has a removable/washable cover (there was a small hole in the faux sheepskin when it arrived but I took the cover off and ironed a patch on the inside). The storage compartments (one removable) are a real plus. Did I mention how well made this crate is? Also, it isn't too heavy for me, 5'5" to carry by myself. When collapsed it has a handle for carrying. When set up it has two long hand straps that connect with a velcro cover. It is a little awkward to carry this way because of the size not the weight. The carrying case is really nice too and that has both a handle and a detachable shoulder strap. I have rigged the shoulder strap to work with the collapsed crate when not in the case -it's easier for short trips. I had no trouble getting the collapsed crate back into the case. This crate sets up and collapses easily but it does take two hands. I really like the way the two suspension poles connect comfortably yet securely. They are a little stiff to get apart when breaking down the crate, but I am sure that with time they will loosen up. The fact that this crate is navy blue is wonderful because it doesn't show dirt. Overall, this crate offers the most bang for your buck. You can't beat the price on Amazon. Even with paying the shipping, this crate costs much less than some of the other comparable brands. And it shipped quickly too! I would definitely buy this brand again!

Before I purchased this crate, I read all of the reviews and shopped around. I read the reviews that this crate might not hold up for a big chewer. We have a basset hound and originally bought a crate for a medium sized dog. While he's definitely medium in weight, he is a large dog in length. We wanted something that he could stay in for extend periods comfortably and something portable. A collapsible crate was what we needed. This sets up and collapses quickly and easily. He loves his cratehe can see us through the sides, but still feel safe and secure. While he is a big chewerhe hasn't even touched the crate. Fingers crossed that he limits himself to his toys. The only drawback with this crate is that the padding isn't very soft and the crate doesn't collapse as well if you add more bedding. We just remove his bedding when we need to travel, but you'll want something else besides the included mat.

I bought the large size (our dog is 80 lbs), 42" long. Our dog has PLENTY of room to move around. This crate is super easy to set up and seems very sturdy. Also included a plush mat, that can be removed to wash! It will make our weekend travel much easier! I am overall quite pleased with this dog crate.

Our lab loves this crate and it worked out great for use IN our home. I ordered the extra large & it takes up a lot of room but I wanted our dog to be able to stand up and stretch out if he wanted to. I also love that I can easily pick it up and put it in the back of our vehicle without a struggle! This crate is very well made and was a good value!

This portable crate is GREAT! I have 2 Caviler Kings, I bought the Lg sz. This is more then enough rm for them to stretch out. The windows are huge, 3 of them open. It takes 30 sec to put up. There are clips that can be used, to hold closed, with a handle, so you don't always need to use the bag that comes with.

Quality is GREAT. & I only spent 1/2 the cost compared to other portable crate... Well worth the money.
