This toy has been one of the ones that my kittens have been the least interested in. They hardly ever play with it on their own and when thrown they will only run to it then go off and do something else. I'm not sure if the catnip isn't very effective or my kittens are just not very affected by it (they are near 1 y/o so well over the age for catnip to affect them). The crinkle is rather soft and you have to squish it quite hard to get it to crinkle audibly. If your cat is affected by catnip this might make a decent purchase.
......which mine is, it will make for a great toy for cats. Mine is quite picky and very weird about what he plays with.
