My cats previously had a scratching post that had a wooden base covered with carpet, and sisal covering a wooden post. I grew weary of replacing the sisal every year, so decided to order this post because the price was right. My cats took to it right away. They like it and I do, too. The base is covered with a plush fabric that seems sturdy, and the base is definitely sturdy. Many scratching posts do not have such a wide base and are easy to tip over. I ordered this one for the wide base, and also for the fact that it was taller than most. I have 2 fairly good sized cats, 15 and 16 pounds. They can stretch up to scratch on this post, and the base stays put. The sisal covers a sturdy plastic post. Would definitely order again.
Affordable, steady and tall. Has microfiber fabric on the bottom. My cats love it immediately~! Definitely worth the money~!!!! :)
