Sunny Seat Window Cat Bed

I purchased this from my local Bed Bath and Beyond in their pet section because I was looking for a perch but had no sill for other perches to grasp onto. I loved that it had a no sill option. I was a bit wary at first because it used suction cups but they are huge and there's 4 of them so theres no way all 4 of them would fall at the same time, giving the cat a chance to get down if something were to go wrong. I've had the perch up for about two months now and it is still sticking strongly to the window. I have two cats that use it at different time that are over 10 pounds each and they love it. I would reccomend this. Just make sure you wash your window beforehand and push the suction cups hard so they get a good grip. =)

I bought this from my local Bed Bath and Beyond thinking that returning it shouldn't be a problem if it didn't work. I was very skeptical, I mean really, four suction cups holding up 50lbs of weight for an extended amount of time?

Well, when I got home I put it together which was fairly easy. Threading the line through the two top suction cups was kind of a pain, and the PVC pipes felt a little flimsy but I figured that was to be expected from a $20 dollar item. I cleaned the glass with windex (leaving the glass slightly damp) and really put a lot of pressure on to the cups to ensure a secure grip. It felt sturdy, so I put my heaviest cat on there (about 20lbs) and he didn't move for a good 3 hours! My other cats are warming up to it, and upon inspecting the suction cups again they haven't moved or lost suction.

So far so good, I'm kind of just waiting for the suction cups to come loose and fall, I guess we'll have to see.

Still hasn't moved or slipped with regular cat use. Very impressed.

I'm only writing this since i read the bad review. this product is lightweight but its inexpensive. it is a bit hard to put together. but who cares. it still takes only about 2 minutes tops. i cleaned my windows as directed and it works great. the suction cups are very strong. i have a 12 lb cat. this product is a good idea and it worked for me. it has been up for days and the suction cups have not needed to be re-seated.

We were so excited to get these in the mail and put them up. I was so optimistic about the results that I bought 3 packages (6 seats)! They were to go on my sliding glass door. The suction cups and the wires they are attached to proved to take more space than I thought and I was only able to get 3 of them on my sliding glass door. Then we tried to get the cats up and they didn't want to get on them. They were nervous. The first one who is 10 pounds got on for a few minutes and then it fell. He didn't want to go back up after that; he was too scared. The second cat is much smaller and we were able to lure her up with a lot of treats. After about an hour, one of the seats fell with her in it. I put it back up and tried again and probably about 40 minutes later another seat fell with her on it. I was worried for their safety.

I emailed the company and they wanted to know what kind of window I had. Even though it doesn't say on their website or on their video, I guess it only works on certain kinds of glass. The very small information sheet that came in the box claims it works on any smooth surfaced, double-paned, or insulated paned window, or sliding door. In the email response the company told me, since our sliding glass door is single paned, the fault is not the products', the fault is the window.

I am within the 30 day warranty period but they are making me pay for the return shipping. Considering their misleading website and video, I'm crossing my fingers that I get my money back. I WAS VERY DISAPOINTED!

We have a 3rd floor attic apartment and all our windows are closer to the floor with no window sills. This is the most perfect solution that I could have ever hoped for! I know it says can hold 50 pounds and great for 2 cats and all that, but unless you have really tiny cats, there is no way you are going to fit two on there. As soon as a cat gets up there and gets really comfy and gets all stretched out, there is absolutely no room for another one. But, with the price and quality of this, I will have no problem ordering another one for our other kitty. I think this may be the only as seen on tv product I have ever tried that is BETTER than expected. I'm actually considering getting another one to hold some small flower pots that I will be growing catnip in. It's really sturdy, the fabric used as the 'bed' is really heavy duty, I'm still shocked at how well this is made. Anyone with a cat and a window HAS TO GET ONE OF THESE!

UPDATE: 10/31/12I now have proof of just how sturdy this is. I was in the kitchen doing dishes when I heard 'Wow, what a nice swing!' I didn't think much of it, but when I came back out to the living room, I saw my 3 year old sitting on the sunny seat kicking her feet as if she was on a swing. Of course I grabbed her off of it as quickly as possible and explained that it was for the kitties and not her, but then it hit me how awesome this seat actually is. My daughter is 42 pounds. So they're not kidding when they say it can hold a bit of weight!!
