My 10 year old German shepherd has about half a dozen squeak toys made of this same blue rubber. But I want her to have the enjoyment of hearing her toys squeak. This football was initially very exciting to her, and the sound egged her on to redouble her efforts to show it who was boss. But the squeaker broke in less than a minute! I can see a tooth penetration hole right through the rubber and into the squeaker. What a disappointment both for her and for me.

Lately the product has went down hill. my dog has alway been good to his toys he like the squeak toys. It was out of the box and about an hour later it was flat.

My two year old basset loves squeakies. He loves them too much. He will destroy anything he can get ahold of to forcibly rip the squeaky out. I've had this for 6 weeks now, and the squeaky is still intact! (He did, in fact, get the squeaky out of the ROUND Squeezz ball by Kong that didn't take half an hour for him to accomplish.)

And the other thing I like about this, is it doesn't play fair! When I toss it, it bounces funny, and my dog has to make radical direction changes, practically in mid-air. It is SO funny to watch him do that :)

The squeeker broke the second time I squeezed it was showing the dog that it sqeeked and now it doesn't. She still plays with it but not as much as I thought she would, cuz this dog loves things that make noise, what dog doesn't.

This is my second Kong football. The first one lasted 3 years with daily use by my 12 pound terrier. She finally managed to chew the ends off, but it squeeked right to the end. The replacement I just purchased never squeeked. It occasionally croaks. My dog has little interest in it and I'm very disappointed in it. I expect more from Kong products.
