I have tried several ways of growing wheat berries for cat grass and have had not the best results. I had a feeling that this design would be IT and it is. Not only does wheat grass grow better in this gadget but when the cats pull at the grass, the grains and soil stay in the dish and don't get strewn all over the floor.

it grows in 10 days, which is awesome to see how fast it grows, down side is my cat doesn't love the grass and will not eat it at all... Also the bowl is really easy to have mold grown on the bottom, which takes time to clean each time new grass needs to be planted.

this product is great! I like the fact that there is a cover for the grass so that my cats didn't dig in the dirt before the grass grew. The grass grew fast and my cats really enjoyed it. Very easy, there seem to be little bugs in the "dirt", but I think that they were suppose to be there. I had a previous cat grass set that also had these bugs.

I noticed a lot of people did not get their grass to grow, yet they followed the instructions perfectly. Even though this may sound intuitive, you must mix the soil and the seeds together for the product to work. I noticed the instructions call for the owner to just lay the seeds on top of the soil. If you did exactly this then you will end up with a moldy mess. Make sure the seeds are properly planted in the soil and not simply scattered on top as the manual says.

My dogs even take a bite once in a while. It only took 4 days for the grass the start to show. Since it is winter time and good light is sparce I put it underneath the light on my stove. Once the grass grew to about two inches I put it in its skid proof container and put it on the floor. Wow!! My cats hoovered over the bowl taking turns eating the grass. This is the best grass grower that I have ever had. It is large enough for multiple pets, grass does not come out by its roots when the cats eat it, grass continues to replemish itself, the container stays where you put it due to the non-skid base. All of my four cats are inside cats and do not get fresh grass which is important for dietary needs. I would recommend this grass garden to any pet lover who has spent $5 a pop for the small grass containers available at pet stores and have been very disappointed.
