For the curved front there are two pieces that join. Sadly they don't stay joined. Also the curved pieces strain to remain joined to the other pieces of the kitty city. It may look cute and cuddly, but the "sherpa" isn't inside where they sleep. Also, my two kittens will sleep anywhere. They roughhouse and run full charge into the condo. It just doesn't hold up. I'm going to buy an extra piece to make my city taller so both my boys can sleep at window level in the sun.

For several weeks I had a very sick cat who was kept only in my room so that the other animals would not bother her. I bought this for her birthday, put a blanket inside of it, and she instantly loved it! Even after she was allowed the run of the house, she would continually come back to my room to sleep in her cozy hut.
The assembly isn't bad, and I did not find it unstable. I assume from the other reviews that they did not press in the parts very well into the slot.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a small, corner hut that will not be easily noticed.

but I agree with Schmedlap...it's an awesome concept, but the rounded pieces cause the straight pieces to pop loose. Maybe they should be shorter? Although they were skeptical at first, my 3 kittens have fallen in love with their Kitty City. I'm hoping to buy more sets to make it even taller. Maybe the steel ones hold together better...
