This item seems pretty well made, has nice material and makes for a great scratching post, but it is pretty small and my cat won't go into the house. I am thinking about making the hole bigger to see if that would make a difference. Be a good house for a smaller cat, mine is about 9 pounds, but at least it makes for a good place to sharpen her claws!

This was purchased to replace an old, beat-up tower. My daughter's cats took to it immediately, and she's pleased with it because it holds both cats easily but doesn't take up a lot of space in her condo. And the neutral color fits with just about any decor. The rope-covered legs are a big improvement as scratching posts over the old rug-covered ones, which were shredded apart. This was a good buy.

This tree was so easy to put together. My daughter and I had it up and running in 15 minutes. Probably would have beeen quicker if the kitten didn't keep running off with the mouse dragging the perch along. It is super sturdy, but yes, the mouse was off in five minutes (maybe less)...but the cats (we have 4) love it and take turns on the top perch and house. They also love to scratch it instead of the furniture. Great product. You'll find your cats will just LOVE IT...expecially the mouse, which they will rip off and hide somewhere ;-)

This cat tower was a gift, but I would NEVER pay that much ($80) for this! The house walls are made of VERY thin cardboard, and when I got it in the mail, the roof was broken off. Luckily I have an awesome boyfriend that fixed it for me... The way that the roof is designed, my cat (Currently 8.5lbs but still growing) can't even sit on it, though he tries very hard. My cat LOVES all the scratching posts, but isn't fond of the house. I think it is because there is no padding in the house; it's just fabric-covered wood. The inside walls of the house aren't covered with fabric, though. It's just bare wood and cardboard. My cat loves the toy! He would love it more if he could sit on the roof and play with it like he used to, though. He lays on the top and reaches down to play with it. It's cute, but it could be better. Just a side note, there is no paw print. I was a little disappointed.

**Pros: soft fabric, scratchers, toy, the top bed has a little bit of padding, easy to assemble, lightweight but relatively sturdy.

**Cons: price, support poles are plastic, cheap materials, the top bed doesn't hold tight (it unscrews), no padding in the house, the shape of the roof is poorly designed, and my cat has a hard time getting to the top bed because the bed is directly over the house so he has to bend backwards.

I would never pay for this. It isn't horrible, but for $60 my boyfriend and I built a very sturdy, cute, and practical cat tower that my cat LOVES, and we have almost no carpentry experience. I don't hate this tower, but I don't like it. I strongly recommend buying a sturdy wood cat tower that is completely covered in carpet and/or fabric from PetSmart, or even making your own.

This product is falling apart. It's made for scratching but is not scratch friendly. Above and below the rope is a thin material and cardboard underneath the cats scratch this area and there is cardboard everywhere. Seems to me if the product had rope all the way up and down it would work but it only has rope in the middle. This was a waste of money and very unsafe who knows if my cats could choke on the cardboard.
