I sought opinions and read many reviews of the 3 or 4 wire crate products available. I had plastic crates but wanted wire for warmer weather conditions.

Many crates had problems with dogs being able to escape. Some had sharp edges. Plastic pans were a concern.

I finally settled on Elitefield because while it wasn't as well known, the price was great, the description appropriate and you didn't pay extra for things like the puppy divider. The money-back guarantee made it an easy decision!

I am very happy with this crate. It came quickly and was up in about 1 minute. The wire is nicely coated with plastic and I found no sharp edges. The manufacturer warns that this isn't really the crate for dogs who aren't crate trained. I can see how a dog could potentially push at the sides or top and maybe get them loose but I don't think it would be easy. The door seems to close and latch securely with two latches.

It does have a plastic pan but (so far) that isn't a problem for me. I provide lots of treat activity toys and chew items when my puppy (doberman) is in the crate.

The only mistake I made is that I didn't put the rubber feet on the crate before I set it up. That's because it was so easy to set up, I didn't read the instructions until later. So, if you get this crate: put on the feet first :)

This crate is exactly what I was hoping for. The materials seem to be good quality including heavy gauge wire. It is easy to fold down and put up. I can do it by myself in just a minute or less. It has a carrying handle and wire latch that make it easy to transport. The plastic liner stays inside the wire bottom and the rest of the crate folds on top of it. Very convenient. I've only used one door but I could see the advantage of the 2nd door depending on the placement of the crate. Fits easily in my car when folded for transport. I have yet to try it set up in my car but foresee no problem in my minivan. My new dog, a standard poodle pup likes this much better than the plastic airliner style crate when she needs to be kenneled. It is plenty big enough to carry her into adulthood. For the money, it's a good deal.

This Crate is exactly what I wanted! It folds up nicely, though it is very sturdy and quite heavy so I only fold it up when I am going to move it far away or on trips. The divider is perfect for my Golden Retriever puppy, and when he is potty trained I will just let him sleep on my bed, and put this crate up stairs. Shipped on time, great condition, and the rubber feet are a plus! It even clips right on to the xpen I bought. I cant quite figure out the handles though, as there were no instructions conscerning those. Any help would be great :) Oh, and dont be silly like me when you are trying to close the door latches, because I thought they would just slide over, but they were very unsturdy and would slide around, the doors opening by themselves. It took me a minute to realize you have to take the slider thing in your hand, push it all the way up, and THEN slide it into place,then let push it down, creating a GREAT and very sturdy lock. Bottom line, This crate is perfect, the best price you will ever find for such a great crate, and it is deffinatly worth the money.

This large crate works as a little bedroom for the new lab puppy, but it's not nearly as sturdy as the smaller crate (brand unknown) that I had borrowed from a friend. I thought a bigger crate for a bigger dog would be at least as sturdy as the one meant for a very small breed. I wouldn't trust it to keep her safe as a travel crate in the car as I was hoping, since it seems to bend easily with not much pressure.
