I've had this litter scoop for about three months now and it has been GREAT for saving my back while cleaning the litter box. The handle can extend just over 30 inches which keeps me from having to bend over and has the added benefit of keeping my hands and face far away from the waste (see photo added from packaging). I have used this scoop with an open pan but it also works with my CleverCat box and pine pellet litter; I have not tried this scoop with clumping litter so I don't know how it would work for heavy clay but so far it seems like it's designed to handle some serious cat "business".This scoop is lightweight but sturdy, cleans easily and the beige color looks great with my gray litter box (comes in black and white too). Has a fitting on top of the handle to hang it up. It is used daily here so the telescoping portion of the handle can eventually loosen a bit sometimes; I just give a few turns to re-tighten every once in a while and this is not a problem. Very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend.
