If you own a cat, then you know that if you buy a really fancy toy 90% of the time the cat won't even touch it. Then they will go play with a random bag laying on the floor for 30 minutes. Sometimes genius lies in simplicity. That's how I would classify Eddie Eraser. Yes it's just what it looks like. A small chalkboard eraser with little felt ears and a string for a tail. Some cats love these things. It doesn't take much for a cat to scoot them across hardwood floors. And the texture allows them to bite into them and throw them into the air or tear them up without harm. I buy about 6 a year, so it's a proven winner.

It's a strange looking little mouse, essentially made out of a chalkboard eraser. I thought it was cute, so I thought, "Why not?"

Oh man. My cat plays fetch with this thing. Has literally been walking around with it in his mouth for 48 hours. He sleeps with it. He has given it a home. It is the most bizarre love story I have ever seen carried out.

I have four cats. Most of the time the only toy they will play with is one that I am making to move string, feet, etc. But they absolutely LOVE these. I have no idea why. They send them flying thru the air by tossing them up with their mouths, bat them all over the house and yes under the stove and dresser. They will carry them to me crying to announce that they "caught the mouse". It is a riot to watch. I've several of these and some of them are quite old but are still in excellent shape. They really hold up. Inexpensive too! Get the SmartCat Peek-a-Prize box and fill it with various small (safe) objects the Eddie Erasers are the perfect size. One of my cats empty the "Prize box" every night. I quickly refill it in the morning. SmartCat is a great company with many items my cats love.

My cats favorite toy of all time (and they have A LOT). It is light enough for them to pick up in their claws. Be warned though, if your cat doesn't ever like to play with toys, there is no reason why they would suddenly like to play with this one. If your cat does like to play with toys though, they probably will love this!!
