I bought this item and it lasted just a few weeks before the sisal covering and fake fur peeled off the vertical post it was so poorly glued on that did not adhere to anything. I removed the fabric and sisal and wrapped rope around the post which is much better.

My kitten got his claw caught in one of the little fake bells on a mouse and was frantically struggling to get his paw loose. If I'd not been there to help him, I hate to think what could have happened. Scary.

With these things in mind, I think this toy is poorly made and a safety hazard. However, it's really cute and I love the color. If you decide to buy one, be prepared to recover it soon and definitely remove the bells on the mice to make it safer for you kitty to use.
