I own the black regular shaped kong. It is the ONLY toy that my 3 year old german wired hair has not chewed up. So I was really looking forward to this toy lasting as well. Well, that was not the case! After unwrapping the tire, Rowdy had it shredded to pieces in a matter of 10 minutes! I am very disappointed!

We bought this for our choco lab mix. Within 5 minutes, he had chewed it up. Definitly not for a strong chewer.

This tire was tiny! So tiny my dog had the entire thing in her mouth, but not for long. It was shredded in less than 5 minutes. My dog also has the regular black Kong and the red Kong ball, both of which lasted for 6+ months. I am shocked that Kong put their name on this product. Complete waste of money!!!

Buyer Beware: I purchased this Kong tire a couple of months ago from a retail store. My Pug/Beagle mix puppy is a strong chewer, but I never guessed that some KONG toys were this weak. He destroyed this toy in less than 10 minutes. Back them he was a 35 pound puppy. I removed the pieces from my puppies kennel and threw them away. Later on that night my puppy woke threwing up big chunks of this tire, 2 times in one night. It cost me a trip to the vet and 100+ dollars for a check up and X-rays to ensure there was no rubber tire remaining in his tummy. I recommend the EXTREME KONG toys ONLY for strong chewers. I learned that just becaue it says "KONG' does not means that the toys are solid.
