Petstages Whirly Gig Cat Toy

My kitten has a tendency to steal pens, tubes of lipstick or anything else stick shaped. I bought her this toy after she chewed through a pen to keep her from eating any more ink. She loves it! When I gave it to her, she immediately batted at it and enjoyed watching it spin like a top. She's had it for over a year now and still plays with it almost daily. She loves to send it spinning across the kitchen floor and immediately informs me by meowing loudly when it rolls under the fridge. She also likes to carry it around in her mouth while chirping happily. My other cats occasionally bat at it, but are mostly uninterested so I gave the product four stars rather than five. If your kitty likes sticks I'm sure she will love this toy too. If not, it's cheap enough to risk a try.

We bought this toy for our kittens/cats on a whim after one of our cats swallowed his ball type toy resulting in 3 or 4 THOUSAND dollars in emergency surgery and x-rays, etc. Most cat toys have strings and things that kitties will swallow and can really damage them internally. Our boy was literally on his deathbed because of the soft ball/mouse toy! =0( We never thought he could or would swallow the whole thing, but somehow he found a way...

We are so glad we found the whirlygig and only wish there were more toys like it so our cats don't have to wait for us to bring in the other toys that have to be saved for supervised play only (like da birdwhich as far as we're concerned is the other best toy out there)!

I have a full grown stray cat I took in, his name is Stashu. He is a spoiled kitty who loves toys!! This is a great addition to my cats toy chest. This toy is great to bat at, chase and to make spin. My cat loves it! I like that its the purrfect size its not too big yet it won't go under my stove! My cat enjoys toys of all shapes and sizes variety is healthy & interesting. I keep all of his toys in a plastic container with a lid, I also keep loose catnip in the container. Stashu is a happy, healthy and active 1 year old cat. I highly recommend these cute little toys.

We have two sister kittens, who are 10 weeks old. I purchased this toy at PetSmart yesterday. When I presented it to the kittens, they were very apprehensive at first. One would very cautiously bat at it, and then jump back as it spun. Eventually they lost their fear, and they play with it a lot. Sometimes I spin it for them, which intrigues them, and sometimes they manage to spin it themselves. Last night they played with it for well over an hour. It's a lot of fun.
