Let me start with saying that I would not recommend this to toy for a cat that has hair,the first time I turned it on for my cat he looked at it for a while then used his claws to pick it up and hold it until it got tangled in his fur. He just looked at me with his new toy making a horrible sound as the motor strained to tangle deeper into his fur as if to say "Are you f@$#&^g kidding me?" After that he quickly lost intrest although he still watches as it runs in circles. Cool idea for a cat toy but still an epic fail.

I got this from Petsmart, and after turning it on, my cat and I just sat there and stared at it. It kind of went around in very slow circles, and then bumped into stuff. It was very loud and mechanical sounding. My cats are indoor/outdoor, and they catch real mice. She was not impressed. I was not impressed. We both were sort of mesmerized by it though. After about 5 minutes, I turned it off and put it back into the package. If your cat has never ever seen a real mouse before, they *might* be fooled. If your cat is really really overweight, maybe this will help them to get moving. I wouldn't recommend it though, and will be returning it.

Yes, it was inexpensive and yes, I got what I paid for. It mainly went around in small circles and the motor noise scared the cat away, so after several minutes of watching it myself, I decided that it wasn't going to excite anyone, especially the cat. Nice idea but a bust in reality.
