Multipet Dazzler Durable Plush Dog Toy

I was surprised at the bad reviews the Dazzler toys have received from purchasers. I received the Alligator toy as a trophy from a dog show. My Borzoi are bad about tearing up toys-this was one of the few toys besides braided tug toys and the Squeeze Meeze latex toys from Valley Vet Supply that my dogs haven't torn up. I can't speak for the other toys, but I thought the alligator was VERY durable and was thinking of buying a few more of them.

I ordered this for my 10 mth old chihuahua because the ad said that is was durable and he likes to chew. The toy did not last 10 min before he chewed right through it!

I purchased this for my Bloodhound puppy, who has torn apart many of his stuffed animals, but also refuses to chew on hard toys like Nylabones. Given the price, I was somewhat hesitant to purchase it, since most durable stuffed toys are two to three times as much. At the same time, I figured that I wasn't out much and bought it.

Not more than a few minutes after I gave it to my dog, the tail was off, and the stuffing was all over the floor. So while the fabric of this toy resembles that of many more durable stuffed toys, it is not truly durable fabric. In fact, this toy didn't last any longer than a stuffed animal I would buy at the dollar store.

If your dog is not a destroyer, then it is probably a fine toy. But "durable" should really be removed from its name. Because it is anything but.

For the price they are an okay toy. They certainly keep the pups entertained, but don't expect it to last longer than an hour before stuffing flies. These toys are also a lot smaller then what I thought they would be. Having 2 Chesapeake Bay Retriever's who love to play rough, I knew these toys wouldn't last long...basically it would be a cheap thrill to wow the pups...it did the trick. But, even given the price the toys did not hold up or last long enough. If you have a rough player/chewer pass on these toys.
