Ok, this toy is like a fishing pole and line with a furry thing on the end that rattles...rattles? This reminds of pet toys I purchased, for a CAT! The first time my dog tried to let me down easy, but she is loves to play and has excelled and perhaps teach a class. This toy did not hold her attention AT ALL. No matter which approaches I took. (I love to play with her too). It's been raining, and so I took out this toy again, since she seemed to tolerate the rattling in the Kyjen duck. This time around my dog, who is super playful, decided to take the bait and we played with this toy for about 15 minutes... I tried not to have her stand on her legs too much, let it drag on the floor and her chase it. ;-) She was even going after the handle... Shortly afterwards she flopped on the floor and took a power nap. So I would have to recommend this if your dog is has some pent up energy, which is very important for our furry friends. There are indoor/outdoor versions of this toy as well, Chase It is the one I know of, with winter coming in the North East, indoor ways to exercise and stay mentally stimulated are essential. Storage is not too bad for this toy, a lot of the length is in the cord. I find my dog does not like certain noises, like the clicker, or initially the rattler... but since she got the duck she does not seem to be trying to avoid the noise. She's a Lhasa Apso, so they are known to have a mind of their own!

This is a good size for using indoors. The mouse has a squeaker, which my dog likes. Unfortunately, my dog destroyed the squeaker itself the first day, but I've resigned myself to having to replace the squeakers on most of her toys, so I just ordered 40 heavy-duty squeakers from eBay to refurbish them. [The only squeaky toy I have that's survived, and it's survived for 3 years now, is a latex Hartz Mountain dog toy]. At first I was surprised that the mouse attaches firmly to the rope instead of coming off when the dog pulls on it hard enough, but now I understand why they make it this way. You don't want to keep chasing after the dog's toy, and the dog can play with it while it's still attached. It's great for playing with the dog while I'm exercising on my stationary bicycle. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because my dog doesn't seem to like the long-fiber fuzziness of the mouse all that much--she likes it better when I attach woolly squeaky toys to the rope. But it's a good toy.

My Labradoodle puppy absolutely LOVES this toy!! I can get rid of her puppy energy on a rainy day by exercising her with her new favorite tail teaser!! The only constructive comment would be not to allow them to chew at the toy directly. We keep it in a closet until play time. Oh, and watch out for your ceiling fans!! Lol I think it is the greatest toy we have found for our Doodle girl so far... :-)
