We have a 1 year old Chihuahua and she's really tough on toys. A few months ago we got her the "Ethical Pet Plush Skinneeez 24-Inch Dog Toy" Ethical Pet Plush Skinneeez 24-Inch Dog Toy, Raccoon

...that was by far the best plush toy we ever got for her. It has 2 squeakers (one on each end) and it's extremely strong. After months she still has it and wasn't able to tear it apart.

So, we obviously wanted to get her another "Ethical Pet" toy and decided to go with the monkey... but oh boy... that was a mistake! She started playing with it non-stop for at least 10 minutes. After that I realized the crappy squeaker broke inside. How pathetic is that?!?!

After playing another hour she actually ripped the head open and got to the plastic squeaker inside and almost choked on the peaces that came out. Good thing we were just a few feet away.

So do yourself a favor. If you really love your pet, stay away from this toy and rather go and buy the Raccoon :)

I have a few of these brand of toys. I like the monkey, but I do wish there was more than just the one squeekie inside as thats what the dogs tear out first. Most others have 2 squeekies inside. A bit small. Also wish I could have selected which color I got. Still cute.

This is the second Skinneez monkey I have purchased for my year-old Yorkie. The first one lasted about a year, much used and loved. He didn't mind that it was dirty and had lost one arm but I did, so I purchased a new one for him. Again, he loves this monkey. The soft fur seems to comfort him he likes to rub his face in it. The toy is well made and safe, and the long arms and legs make it a good interactive toy. It is usually his first choice when he brings a toy for us to play with.

There is just NOTHING cuter than my doggie carrying this floppy, multi-legged, adorable Monkey around in his mouth......it "sways and waves" back and forth with each step my pup takes!!!!! I would recommend everyone buy this Monkey toy.............just to see how precious your pup looks 'prancing around' with Mr. Monkey in his mouth...this alone, is worth it......................get your camera out, your going to need it!

My dogs love to gut things, toys, pillows, sofas, even the mattress! I have four siberian huskies and what I really need is another pair of eyes in the back of my head! I love the unstuffed toys and they do too. These are not a good choice for Sibes though, my dogs are too rough and the toys could not withstand a game of tug. they had all the legs and arms ripped off within minutes. They are also smaller than I expected. But, they'd be perfect for a smaller dog or one not as destructive.
