Of all the toys my cat has, this has always, always been his favorite. It's the one toy he knows by name. I can say 'Bird?' and he'll start meowing like crazy. When I'm not playing with him, I have to put it up where he can't get it, because he will literally play with it for hours and bring it to me and bug me if I don't. I was glad I could find them on Amazon, because my local retailer stopped carrying them. You can't go wrong with this toy, and your cat will love you for it.

At first my cat was scared of this toy! I guess it's because of the size. She's not used to such big toys, the stick is sturdy too. Whenever I tried to fly it above her head she would run away! Then she would start playing with it when it was lying on the ground and not moving. Now she is only slightly scared and will swat at it when I fly it around. She uses a lot of force which suggests to me she is still a little scared by it! Some of the feathers have come off already but overall a good toy.

I have a big cat and he LOVES to play. Even though this toy has followed the recurring trend of the eventual ravages of time, my cat still is interested in the toy. It no longer makes noise and is no longer attached to the wand. I've been hard pressed to find a toy that doesn't eventually end up this way. I get creative and tie it back on to other broken toys or just buy another toy. It is a good little toy while it lasts; and it lasts much longer than most. Keep in mind I have a big cat and he LOVES to play.

I spend 30 minutes, three times a day, playing with interactive toys and my cat. This is his MOST FAVORITE toy of them all! He especially enjoys chewing on the tail! When we got him, he was 8 years old, and didn't know how to play. What a difference now! The exercise is great for him as well as entertaining for me. I enjoy watching him leap and roll around with this cute seagull in his paws.

Pros: it is a well-made toy.

Cons: there are some design elements that are questionable. The stick is too short and thick--though it is light, it is not easy to wield, and you don't get too far a reach--especially because the string is also quite short. The string itself is elastic, but this does not seem to add to the toy's fun factor. The seagull itself is too big for both my kittens--even the older, brave one. They are completely uninterested in it; it flops around not like prey, and when it's flying overhead, it's too heavy to "fly". I bet a dog would love it. And also, destroy it in about 5 minutes.
