The dispenser works pretty much as you would expect, but the plastic is pretty thin. The dispensing handle won't stay up if there's nothing in the container, so refilling it when new or completely empty is a two person or three handed operation, assuming you are pouring a 40 pound bag of dog food into the top.The spout at the bottom is very wide as well, which makes it very difficult to dispense into a measuring cup, or anything smaller than a dog's dish.

I just purchased this as a replacement for an identical bin that was hanging on our laundry room wall for the past 10 years. I noticed that the old one appeared to be 'coming away' from the wall, and when I took a closer look, it turns out that the plastic itself had become brittle and was literally ripping. The screws were holding tight, but the bin itself was tearing away from the wall.If this had occurred after a year or two, I'd give this product just one or two stars, but in light of the fact that it's given us 10 years of storing close to 40 pounds of dog food in a convenient manner, it rates the full 5-stars in my book.
One thing that I did differently this time involves the mounting. The bin attaches to the wall using four screws (three along the top edge, one lower and at the center of the bin.) Our old bin was mounted with screws and washers to distribute the weight a little further.
This time however, I placed a wooden bar INSIDE the bin and drove the screws through it. (I've posted a couple of product photos... one of which shows this bar.)
I'm hoping that this will really help to distribute the weight so that if the plastic gets brittle again, it won't rip after 10 years like the last one did!
Jonathan SabinThe wall mount dispenser arrived intact and complete. It was not difficult to mount with the screws that came with it. Mechanism works well. I have one that is 10 years old and still working well.
