Very good quality. this is by four paws (a company that sells miscellanous pet stuffs). Best thing is that this has a 3 year gurantee on the blade. awesome!!! when i tried it on my cat who isnt a huge fan of getting her nails clip, this clipper clipped precisely (nice and clean cut!) without ruining her nails or smashing them. When i say 'smash' nails, i mean that when you clip them, the affect part gets pressed so hard it turns white and breaks the integrity of the nail (as if it was 'smashed' or forcefully pounded upon). I have bought a sub-par brand in walmart for about $5 and it was horrible....i clip very little of her nail tip as i always do but her nails were splitting up or/and smashed.
perfect size for cats. i think item can be better ergonomically made....but overall very pleased with this product. there is another four paws clipper for both dogs and cats but it is so big i preferred to get this one. When my oldest cat was a kitten I went to petsmart and bought one of their cat nail clippers. I returned it the next day because it wouldn't get his nails...it would just squish them, and would not cut through the nail whatsoever. So I've been using a regular human nail clipper, which unfortunately would smash the nail but at least it would cut through. Well I recently adopted two new kittens and decided to give something else a try. I'm completely surprised that this item doesn't have more reviews. The cats don't even noticed I'm clipping their nails, it's fast and does not smash the nail at all it cuts through precisely, even with the kitten's skinny little claws This is amazing, I don't have to fight with my cats to get their nails clipped! Definitely worth buying. It's small and easy to handle/store. It is also sturdy and hasn't failed me yet! :)

The Ultimate Touch Cat Claw Clipper is sharp, I give it that. But I still don't like it too much for the following reasons:1. The quality could be a lot better. The stainless steel is extremely lightweight and makes me wonder how durable it will be. Due to its very light weight (think scissors for small kids), I find it difficult to sufficiently control the clipper's action. A more substantial weight (of course not too heavy either) would feel a lot better, but I admit that this might be personal preference.
2. The "finger holes" are way small men or anyone with slightly larger hands should know that they will have trouble getting their thumb/index finger into these. These are best suited for petite ladies.
3. I realized that I prefer the type of clippers that provide a guard to prevent one to accidentally cut the animal's nails too short. These don't have that. When I ordered this clipper I didn't think it would matter much but using these I learned that I feel a lot safer with the other model.
One last word: I used these on two of my three cats and cannot confirm other reviewers' experiences that the cats hardly noticed. My cats reacted to the nail clipping like they always do trying to move their feet away and slightly struggling to get away. For me another reason to get safer clippers than these.
Would not buy these again.

Okay, by now you know from all the positive reviews that these clippers must work pretty well. So I'll skip all that and just say that if you are a new cat owner, or know someone about to get their first house cat you need to save the cat a lot of misery and buy these clippers.I've had a cat for 4 years now, and after endless amounts of him sinking his razor sharp claws into me (when he's showing me he loves me by 'kneading'), and endless amounts of me getting ticked off at the poor little guy I found these clippers on Amazon, and then drove to the pet store and bought them. After I got home I put them to work and you know what? It was the easiest grooming I've ever done for the poor guy. I'm talking about 90 seconds worth of (painless)clipping for all four paws. He didn't even flinch. I'm talking about zero pain, and minimal effort required.
For anyone who gives away cats or is thinking of getting themselves a cat, these scissors will save you and the cat a TON of misery.
While I'm on my soap box, if you're a new cat owner, pick yourself up some balloons and a squirt gun to manage your cat's behaviors. No one tells you that either. Cat's are stubborn and relentless when they want something. If you have a limit, your cat will find it, and you don't want that to happen. Balloons and a squirt gun are harmless but effective. People just imagine you'll figure it out on your own, which is stupid because if you're like me it could take you years to learn something little like "BUY THESE CLIPPERS SO YOU CAN ENJOY YOUR CAT WITHOUT HIM POKING YOU!!"
