As others have said, do not buy this for a guinea pig! Their spines do not bend this way! You will do permanent damage to your piggie with something like this! It may be fine for other pets, but not for piggies!

You will harm your guinea if you buy this for them. They are not a gerbil or hamster and their backs are not made for this. i can't believe AMAZON is marketing this ball for them. Any pet store who knows anything about these animals will tell you not to purchase a ball for them. I love amazon, but they are putting guinea pigs at risk by leaving this on their site. SHAME ON THEM!! You can see the packaging clearly has a RAT on it, not a guinea!!

I agree with every one of the one star reviewers! Guinea Pigs have very fragile spines that cannot flex in that way! This can damage your piggies feet, spine, and even break his spine! Plus they crash into things and Guinea Pigs can get VERY easily overheated and die! I cannot believe they would sell this product!

Guinea Pigs are not like hamsters, just put your piggie down in a safe room free of wires and places he can get stuck. He will wander around and love it! He won't run away like a hamster. This toy teases the. If you must do something with them while you clean their cage put them in a large no-top container. This is not good for their poor little legs! How would you like living in a cage, and then you finally get to explore, but you're in this this that's unstable, has a rounded surface and confuses you.

It's kind of like shape ups. Great shoes but imagine walk on those that are five feet tall. No control! That's how those poor piggies feel! They get scared and overwhelmed easily!

I do not recommend this product for chinchillas. The main reason being is that within the ball, the temperature and humidity rise very quickly, causing deadly conditions for your chinchilla. Chinchillas also tend to urinate while inside the ball, which increases the humidity even more. The chinchilla can easily have a heat stroke and die within minutes of playing in this ball. If anyone were to use this toy for their chinchilla, I hope that playtime would be monitored and limited to a VERY short time, especially if weather conditions are already hot and/or humid. For the sake of your pet chinchilla, USE WITH CAUTION.

Guinea pigs should not EVER be put into an exercise ball. This causes spinal injury and can be easily avoided. Also they won't move in one anyway because it hurts them. Please do not put your piggies in a ball. To give them exercise, put them into a play pen of some kind and let them run around on a flat surface. If you don't believe me, feel free to ask a vet.
