Cue me a few days ago perusing PetSmart for some hairball remedy and I came across these. I took home a package of these (two to a pack). My other cats (her two siblings) are utterly disinterested in them aside from occasionally batting them around. But suddenly she was (and is!) fetching again. I've since gone back and purchased 2 more sets for my girl, because nothing is more precious than a cat that plays fetch.
ULTIMATELY: This IS just a fabric stuffed ball, about an inch in diameter, one side has glow in the dark painted details. Though I can't vouch for the sturdiness of the product just yet, I can tell these are much better made than her first preferred fetching toy. If your cat likes balls as opposed to toy mice or feathers or chew toys, this is definitely something to try. I suggest leaving the long labels ON because it adds something extra for them to bite and play with. Given what this particular cat prefers, and the interaction it gives us, it is entirely worth the money. This was one of the first toys we had for our kitten, and they remain one of his favorites. They roll really quickly, toss well, are fun to chase, and easy for him to carry around. They do glow, as well, if given enough time to "charge", but ours rarely see the light of day: most of the time, they are in a box from a larger toy that has holes cut in it. This simple combination is one of the best nighttime toys ever. We used a box from the Pouncing Paws battery operated toy (which he likes fine), cut long and skinny holes, and some round holes slightly smaller than the little balls. Pop them in, put it on the floor of the bedroom (because he wants to be near mommy and daddy), and fuzz-butt can entertain himself in the middle of the night without waking us. When he DOES extract one, he will chase it madly all over the place. They are small, which means they can be difficult to find, but they are worth it. Soft, fun, quiet, and fast, they are perfect kitten toys.

Our cat really enjoys playing with these balls and the best part is that they are near silent, so even if she plays with them at night, we don't wake up! Great toy... and they glow in the dark!these balls are non-toxic, small enough for my cats to carry in their mouths and we have great fun playing catch exercise for all of us!I have yet to witness my cat playing with these, but I know he does because I have to pull them out from behind the furniture in the morning. This is a good toy to keep the kitty busy at night-time.
