We have FIVE Pit Bull Mixes. "Indestructible" and "Long-Lasting" MIGHT last 48 hours. This toy has made it two weeks so far AND they Love it. It's going to be torn apart, but I EXPECT that when I buy them toys. The FACT is it has lasted this long and they have had HOURS of fun with it. I bought ours on clearance at the local pet supply and came here looking for a replacement in the inevitable event of its destruction.

I bought a similar one at the store last year, and to this day, it's almost intact. I had to throw it out because it smelled so badly. The one I ordered from amazon wasn't quite as sturdy, but my dog really enjoy chewing it and she keeps bringing it to me so we can play tug of war. There's very little rope left, but the dog enjoys it still, so I guess it's ok.

Ballcentric dogs that are left alone with it, may just chew threw the rope to release what they view as a ball. Other than that it seems like it would hold up well.
