This is the one toy our dog has not been able to chew to pieces! Any toy with appendages, she chews off the arms/legs/etc and then pulls out the stuffing. The snake is perfect since all she could chew off is the tongue! Only problem is that the squeaker didn't last long ...

i have a mini daschund, but he has one heck of a bite. he destroys all of his toys in a matter of a few days or less. he has been playing & biting this toy for 2 months now, & it is still fully intact. it is made of a very thick canvas type material, & it is quite hard. i would recommend this to anyone who has a similar dilemma with trying to keep their pooch supplied with toys. this one lasts!

My large German Shepherd loves this toy. I purchased 4 of them last time so that he doesn't run out. The canvas covering lasts for months, and this is a major accomplishment for any toy as my dog carries it around in his mouth all the time. He uses it to push balls around on the floor.

He does eventually eat off the fins and that allows the stuffing to come out, but even then it still is a good toy as I can play tug with him with it. It just last and lasts and I only throw it away when it is down to just a couple of inches in length.

I bought this for my border collie that likes to play...but he had no interest in playing tug of war, so it didn't get used much.

It was cute and felt quite sturdy. After about a year, I gave it to my pit bull mix (who, btw, was supposed to be an aussie shepherd mix...Surprise!!) She destroys everything...and this snake was no match.

That said, I think it would last quite awhile with a "normal" dog whose main objective in life is not to tear things to bits! (She ate our deck when she was a puppy. Thank goodness she has outgrown her termite stage.)
