Malaga Scratching Post

I bought this thinking I would need to do some revisions to make everything work based on the other review. I received the package is good shape, the parts went together easily and everything was drilled well. I did add two washers for a place where the ladder connects to the box. My kitty decided this was hers the moment I started to assemble it and wouldn't get out of the hammock the whole time. The only thing that was not impressive is the quality of carpet that was used, but I can deal with that and plan to recover it once it wears out. This is SUCH A DEAL for the price! I bought one half the size for more money.

While my human slave loves this product,I found it to be just okay for a number or reasons. First of all, the stairs are way too far apart. I had a hot little number swing over to my cave and while she had no trouble climbing in, I fell off the second step onto the floor. You can't really recover your game with the ladies after she sees you jump and miss a stair, fall to the ground screaming in horror, and your human laughing at how "graceful" you are. I may be a bit smaller and younger than full grown cats but maybe if the producer would have put the steps a little closer together, I wouldnt have the nickname "Tiny klutz" (Which also has hurt my game a bit).

But I digress, the hammok is a real lady pleaser. The girls are coming in from all over the neighbrhood just to lay in it...while I watch..because it can only fit one cat. I still count that though.

Between you and I, the hammok is also great for catching you when you fall off the stairs (no one saw i'm pretty sure) leading to the top floor that hangs over...again, make the stairs closer together, i'm a cat but was this made for some cat-giraffe cross breed or something?

The siccal rope posts are great for me, but when I am out of my hot stud phase and am full grown, I wont be able to stretch out on it or climb it, it will be too short.

The two caves are a great hight to harass the dog from. If you push up into the back corner, you should have enough running distance to launch yourself superhero style onto that slobbering idiot.

All in all it's a pretty good product, watch out for some pieces of carpet that will stick out. Remeber no matter how much fun they look to play with and chew on, you will probably choke on it and make an even bigger idiot of yourself infront of the ladies. Stupid human says its perfect, I say it could use a lavalamp.

When this thing arrived the box was badly water damaged so I didn't notice right away It looked nothing like the one I ordered because the you couldn't make out the picture on the front. When assembled step by step as the instruction directed it would not even stand up straight. All the connections were cut very poorly, I mean Jr. High wood shop poorly, And much of the hardware would just pull back out through the holes. Over all I was very disappointed with the quality of construction from this brand, it was worth more like $40 dollars not over a hundred.
