We've had the "Da Bird" for a few years now after finding it on Amazon, ordering it and discovering that it's the only wand toy the cats go bonkers for (they make feigned efforts with other wand toys).
When we originally got Da Bird, the normal feather attachment made them go bananas. After a year we got the little mouse/fuzzy-hide attachment which they liked so much more that they would actually stop playing and just sit and wait if we put the feather attachment back on.
Now that we have this fuzzy puff ball attachment, they prefer it over the little mouse attachment and again, will bat at the mouse a bit and then sit down until we put this fuzzy puff ball back on then go crazy for it again.
Definitely the current favorite of all the toys! The puffy da bird replacement that I got has a very pretty color of royal purple. My cat definitely loves this new puffy thing after I replace it with the original one. However, my cat loves to carry the puff in her mouth after she finally catches it, and after playing with her for a while, I found that the white area around her mouth got a tint of purple!! I don't know whether the dye is safe to ingest, but I still don't want my kitty ingesting any dye. I may try soaking the puff to wash away the excess dye.
I am also disappointed that this feather puff doesn't spin like the original one (I understand it is not aerodynamic like the original one).

OMG! My cat goes completely bonkers for this toy. I have never seen her contort herself like she does to catch this toy. She leaps and bounds and flips and twirls, all in the love of the chase. I can wear her out in a matter of minutes with this toy. And unlike the 'Lazer' toy she actually gets to catch this one and take out a few fustrations on it.We give it four paws up!

Our kitten loves this but the green dye ran all over his mouth/paws. I'm glad I noticed before it got on our light furniture and carpet.DO NOT BUY THIS. The dye from the feathers will come out and stain your poor cat's mouth, legs, etc. I have bought many toys for my cats and this is the first one that dye ever came out of the toy.
