We're in the midst of crate-training & purchased the EliteField kennel to keep in our car so we didn't have to keep bringing our other kennel back & forth. We have a 20lb schnauzer-mix & finally settled on the 24 inch given previous reviews. It definitely runs a little bit bigger than I was expecting (taller more than anything) & I think I could have gone one more size smaller, but it fits just right in the back of our Land Rover & our little guy has more than enough room to stand & stretch out.Personally, I found it incredible easy to assemble. It came in a great carrying-case so if we ever need to pack it up to bring with us somewhere, we have that option. It also came with numerous straps to make carrying easy. It's also SUPER light! I thought I was going to need help carrying it down to the car (already assembled) because I had my purse, dog on leash & a very necessary cup of coffee. Nope! I was able to juggle all three in the elevator & down to the parking garage.
I also like that it has a number of zip entrances: side, front & top. While we haven't had any run-ins (yet) with chewing or escape, I could see how that might happen. The way the crate is sewed, extra fabric is left on the inside which may look very tempting to a bored pup & the zippers don't close all the way so some pups may be able to easily paw out -though again, we haven't had any issues.
The best part is our dog feels safe & comfortable in it. He doesn't cry when we leave him in the car in it (and he does any other time) & is always happy to jump straight in it when we go for rides. Overall, we're really pleased with the crate design & portability!

We've been traveling in the car with our puppy lugging her wire crate up and down three flights of stairs... we decided to get a soft/easy to carry crate to leave in the car.... this product is absolutely amazing. Came nice and compact and unfolded into a sturdy crate in about 30 seconds. We were also surprised it also came with a soft bedding mat which we didnt expect. We introduced our puppy to the crate at home... she walked right in and laid down. No bribing/treats necessary. Its well ventilated. Easy for her to get in and out. It has top mesh too so she can look up and out in all directions. Couldn't be happier. Will be buying the next size up in a few weeks we assume. She's growing so fast!The crate puts together really easily, looks nice, and breathes well. The storage compartments make keeping everything for puppy together. Our scotty like to have lots of room so we bought him this big crate (generally used for larger breeds I would imagine) and within a day he was able to chew through the mesh on the front leaving a big hole and the inability to secure the mesh rolled up out of the way. First of all, the extra height and width was an important difference that caught my interest. I was shopping carefully for a lightweight portable crate to use in the car for my two Yorkie-Poos who like to stay together. This crate has the perfect dimensions. It's roomy enough even for longer trips. The removable and washable fleece pad on the floor is a touch of practical luxury. Some other extra features I like are the three zippered mesh panels end, side, and top. The top panel makes it easy to see inside and check on the dogs. This crate is so quick and easy to set up and fold down. There are carrying handles on top of the crate to pick up and move the crate like a carrier when it's set up. There are two exterior storage pouches, one of which is detachable, for other useful items like leashes, harnesses, etc. When folded down, it can be stored in its own zippered carrying case that has handles and a detachable padded shoulder strap.
