My puppy is fascinated with the fabric ties, and I've had to monitor him closely when he plays with it. I've already had to remove the knots and fabric strips from his mouth before he could swallow them. (Luckily there's nothing left but the rubbery parts.) You might want to remove the fabric before giving this toy to your puppy to play with.

I didn't purchase this toy for my little toy yorkie, but I did buy something very similar to this chew toy. It was also a chew toy with a shape of a bone, there're also 3 strings/ropes attached at the end of the "bone". One day I found the 3 strings were missing, didn't pay attention to it, thought my dog just misplaced them somewhere. 2 or 3 weeks later, found one string in her poo. I was shocked. Then even more shocking, the other 2 came out of her body in later in that week too!! This is just too scary. I don't know how my dog took those strings off the "bone" but she must be very smart to untie them.... if you really like this toy, I would recomment you to take off the strings before you give it to your baby dog.

My dog has loved this toy and usually destroys most dog toys. This toy has held up to his tough chewing habits, although he managed to get the fabric parts chewed off. He still enjoys the remainder of the toy though!
