I have three male cats that are too large to comfortably use most cardboard scratchers, but they love these. There's also something about the texture of the material that they seem to prefer over ordinary cardboard scratchers, and this one seems more durable. A little more pricey, but worth it if they USE it.

If there's one weakness it's that you need to be careful which side you let them wear out first, because one side sits up off the floor. I'll be careful in future to keep the concave side facing down until they've worn out the bench top and then flip it over. If they wear out the concave side first, the bench breaks under a large cat's weight before they've completed the wearing down process.

I got this for our new kitten. She took to it right away and began scratching all over it. She even would take naps on it. It came with some catnip but my issue with that is that it just kind of sifts through the scratcher and falls to the floor beneath it. Still, she loved the scratcher even without catnip so I can't complain.

This is the perfect scratcher. It has a "jungle motif" on the sides for me and plenty of "scratching area" for them. They have all taken turns with it and keep going back again and again. I think we're all satisfied!
