the perch needs a longer metal screw. the perches are very unstable, and when a cat jumps on it leans to one side. one of the perches already broke.
This product is covered very well and includes a couple of nice extra features like sisal mouse and hanging 'swat' toy for play. My cats started playing with these items as I was putting the tree together. My disappointment came when I realized the top shelf is only secured by one screw bolt in the support post, which is on the back portion of the shelf. In my opinion, if the support post was in the center of the upper tray it would be much more stable. As it is now, I have twisted the upper shelf so its front edge rests on a window sill. Now my cats can use it fully supported.
